In the morning at 7.00 am. We introduce ourselves to the ISAT U Students, Faculty and Staff during the Flag Raising Ceremony at the University gym.

And after that, we have the city tour. we tour with an exclusive coach bus is ready for loading us to ride around Iloilo city.

The first place that we visit is Casa Mariquit, ancestral houses, it ’s a two-storey ancestral home privately owned by the Javellana and Lopez kin. It is not officially a museum but the current owners are not denying entrance to the people who seek a door to the past.

Our next station is Deocampo, we watch the demonstration of making the original barquillos and some of us buy Barquilos for souvenirs. Barquillos is one of the innumerable influences of the Spaniards. These are thin rolled cookies. In the whole archipelago of the Philippines, Iloilo stands out for serving the first and most popular barquillos. The most basic ingredients are milk, sugar, flour, eggs, butter, vanilla, cooking oil, and water.

And then we go to the Jaro Cathedral. It is one of the oldest churches in Iloilo and is also a great spot for people who are fond of architecture, history, and sightseeing. We take photos and look around there for a while. And then we go to the “Angelicum school”, it is a private, Catholic school run by the Dominican Province of the Philippines. The school pioneered in a non-graded, open-classroom education system in the Philippines. It is one of the three Angelicum Schools established by Fr. Rogelio B. Alarcon, O.P. in the 1970s. The school is also known for its magnificent Lizares Mansion, one of Iloilo City’s imposing landmarks.

We have lunch at a Vietnamese restaurant inside the Vietnamese restaurant, there are lots of inspiration and motivation quotes. After we have lunch we go to the city hall and meet with congressman JERRY P. TREÑAS, Mayor; represented by Atty. Hernando Galvez and councilor of Iloilo city.

The next place is Molo Mansion, one of heritage building in Iloilo city. Inside this mansion sell lots of cultural souvenirs

Then we go to the SM mall to have dinner after that we go back to our dorm and take a rest.

Everybody enjoy with the trip and also tired lol.
